WATERCOLOUR PAINTINGS

TOOLS: sakura micron pen, india ink
COLLATERAL: 9 paintings

The Sixth Stage of Sleep was a two-day event hosted by myself and three other friends in similar fields that was catered to youth who are interested in fashion design, photography and art. It featured unique hand-made garments from fashion designers, 5" x 7" photographic prints, and my paintings. The event was a two-day pop up shop/gallery that was a culmination of months of planning and efforts.

The Sixth Stage of Sleep reflects on the five existing stages of sleep and considers the existence of another stage. In my own artwork for this show, I heavily draw from my own dreams. Many of the images illustrated were elements that I saw in my own dreams, which I documented and tried to make sense of.
